Not necessary, no.... you can hook the wires up in about 5 minutes without 
using relays.

However, if you want to use higher-wattage bulbs (which you _do_) then 
you'll need to relay the lights.  You can buy the kit from ND or follow my 
directions on scirocco.org. :)
