Sciroccos rule

Of course we all know that, but...

I was driving home from a few errands this afternoon, and a guy in a
Dodge Intrepid starts riding my tail just as I get off the highway,
making it very difficult for me to slow down much. About three-quarters
of the way down this particular ramp, there is a sharp left turn which is
labeled at an advisory speed of 30. I ended up perhaps slightly beyond
my ordinary turn-in point at (I'm guessing) about 45, tapped the brakes,
and turned the wheel hard left. The car responded like a dream and was
completely *stuck* to the road. Perhaps half a second after I apexed, I
heard much screeching of tires behind me. I looked in my rearview, and,
sure enough, there was an Intrepid sliding all over the road. I'm very
surprised that he didn't hit the concrete wall that's right there (I
would have laughed hard if he had). That'll teach him to mess with a
Scirocco. :)
