electrical problem

Hey everyone, my car is dead! This morning I woke up early to go to a hill
climb event. Started my car up, everything fine... then after about 5
seconds everything dies, and I mean everything: no engine, no lights, no
buzzers, no dummy lights, no fan - nothing. I turn the key all the way off
and try again. This time the buzzer comes on, but when I turn the key to
the next position everything goes off again.
So every once in a while I can get the car to start up. It runs fine for
5 seconds to almost a minute, then everything dies again. Sometimes only
the buzzer comes on and when I try to start it everything dies. Sometimes I
put the key in and nothing happens. I have no idea what's wrong. I
replaced the ignition switch which did not help. I tried beefing up the
ground, but I don't think thats the problem, because some times the starter
will crank over just fine. I'm thinking it may be a relay flaking out, but
what relay would cause symptoms like this. Battery charge is good, so I
don't think its a short. Maybe a short in the ignitiaon/FI system? This
definetly isn't a problem listed in Bentley. Anyone have any ideas? I'm
going to try some more testing to see if I can find out any thing else and
post back.

thanks,
  Shawn
