Chris,
I made my own.  I had an old pair of vise-grips that I reshaped the tips on.  
The resulting shape is like the letter "C" when seen in profile.  This then 
can be adjusted for the gap and you can incrementally adjust it until you 
like the "pinch".  On the "mangling" note, that's a given, the clamps are 
one-time use, unless your very patient and skilled.
