Re: G60 in a scirocco



I just swapped motors in my Corrado, the cover plate doesn't look like it
would be too difficult to fabricate.  It's just a flat plate on the
passenger side of the block.  Actually it looks like the passenger side
motor mount from a Scirocco would cover the hole up.  I'm sure there's a
spare motor mount around here somewhere, if I find one I'll see if it bolts
up to my spare G60 motor.  The hole is there because the coolant passage
runs on the outside of the block instead of on the inside.  Not sure of the
reason, but maybe it's so the no. 1 cylinder wall is thicker making it
stronger.
