audi 3A heads

Hey there, Im new to the list , I was hoping someone 
out there  could tell me whats the deal with the
injecter  "ports" (where the nozzle goes) on a 3a 2
liter audi intake. Can my cis injecters plug in? will
I need different fuel lines? is there any big reason
to use a different head? All of the used 3a engines
Ive seen were longblocks so why not use the head if I
can.BTW  this is for my 80 S. Thanks
