[body/lighting?]- Neon center grill emblem, anyone else see these?

  A few years ago while I was in Austin, TX., I saw a GTI A2 with a neon 
center grill emblem. Haven't seen one since. Has anyone else seen/heard of 
one of these? Or maybe this was a one-off custom job? Other than being 
lowered, this was the only thing unusual about the car, a glowing, 
white/light blue "VW" emblem.
