I spent 15 years there. Cars are under tight controls there, but what Ford 
Aust did was to take the best parts of the cars and re-make them.
QA car called a Monaro, was a Nova like car with a V8...

The Nullabor highway is a plain about 800 miles long. Nothing to hit but 
rabbits, roos and other (occasional) cars... Unlimited speed limit..
