RE: best rader/laser detector? MOUNTING

Yeah, I know all about Virginia...I used to live in Danville and I bought my
'roc from a guy who was the drummer in a band I was in down there. He bought
2 Corrado's since then. He was the one who told me about the detectors that
have remote mount radar antennae...put one in the front grill and one in the
rear tail light (where the rear fog light should be), and I thought about
using the space under the LED warning lights for the detector's indicator
lights. Also use the external speaker jack on my detector to connect a small
speaker in or under the dash somewhere. Needless to say, I never did
it...yet. :)

I would like to wire a detector into my system and use the upshift light as
an indicator (here in VA detectors are illegal and they WILL rip it out of
the car). I'd like to mount the detector somewhere in the engine bay if
possible (don't know if that's advisable or not). The only other problem I
could think of is how to get the audible signals to my ears, since that is
what I'd hear first, and you know how important just a few secs is with a
detector...
