  i was digging through an old popular mechanics, or something like it,
where there was a car with a record player mounted in the back. was
sitting on this big pedestal with springs below it. be interesting to
know if it worked or not. >>

  I remember seeing a show about a 50's car club, these people even dressed 
the part, and the one thing that stuck in my mind was one of the cars (some 
Ford convertable I think) had an under dash record player that held a stack 
of 45's.
