KNOCK ON WOOD......
I have over 202k miles on my 87 16V and the odometer
is still working perfectly... all the time. This is
the ORIGINAL unless it broke before 40k or when the
car was a weee 2.5 years old.  I know its minutes are
numbered, but thought I'd share for all of you who
have replaced that plastic gizmo a few times.
