RE: mk1 hard starts



This is definitely an 8v issue... my '81 mk1 also does this...not as bad
as either of you guys however.  I have the warm idle set to around 1100 rpm
and the car will start cold ok, idle will fall but rebound and then after being
a little rough for a minute runs great.  If I adjust the warm idle down to 
around 900 rpm, however, the car will stall on cold start after a second or
two.
Sounds familiar, eh?

Anyone else have this prob?  Ideas?
