on a 16v rocco the switches can be removed *pulled out* without
having to remove door panels.
the square plastic form holding the switches is on pivot and clip
principale (pivot on bottom and clip on top, use a small screw drive and  
push out on the top part of that bracket it should comes out and you can 
pull the wiring all the way to the connection harness to clean them out 
through the hole.

I haven't looked yet and I have this stooopid question.

Do you remove the door panel to remove the PW switches?

I tried removing them yesterday and couldn't, I thought they would be
similar to the pwr mirror switch.

I quess I'll remove the panel so I won't damage the panel opening for the
swithes (drivers window works, psngr doesn't) I am thinking dirty
connections.
