RE: HELP! Oil Seal Carrier Bolt Hole...re-post




I should have made my message more clear. It's the "crankshaft" oil seal
carrier bolt hole. But I imagine that your advice would still be the same,
right?

As for your idea to use a metal gasket in addition to the fiber one, how
thick do you think it should be? We have some "Shim in a Can" stuff here at
work that would work perfectly--but it comes in different thicknesses.

Do you think I should go:   |block|  -  |fiber gasket|  -  |metal gasket|  -
|fiber gasket|  -  |carrier|?
