V.L. Enterprises update

In case you don't recall, I queried the list around the beginning of June
about V.L. Enterprises and if anyone else had any dealings with them.

The short of it was that I sent my 4k transmission and Quaife to V.L.
Enterprises and paid in full and got nothing in return when the estimated
completion date passed. I was told it would take about 3 weeks from the day
I shipped my transmission out to complete a full rebuild, install the
Quaife, and install the V.L. Enterprises Option-6 Speed conversion kit,
using a .71 6th gear.

I shipped my stuff to Vince at V.L. Enterprises on May 2nd. (Those 3 weeks
are definitely past.)

I *still* haven't received anything back, and my several months' worth of
voice mails and e-mails resulted in only two responses from Vince. Each
time, the new completion date given in those responses was not met. In his
defence, the initial delay was beyond his control, but he totally failed to
inform me that there even was a delay, and has been generally unresponsive.

Today, I snail-mailed him an official "last chance letter", and he has until
July 27th to make things right before I take further (legal) action. I have
found 3 other individuals who are in a similar situation, and we'll be
coordinating our efforts if we don't get results soon.

If you want to read all the nasty details, I've whipped up a web page
<http://members.home.com/mikes.vws/VLE/> which documents this whole mess.
If you know of anyone who's thinking of employing the services of V.L.
Enterprise, you might have 'em look at my page.

I'll post any results (if any) to the list as they become available.

Thanks for the bandwidth,
