16v overheating FAQ sggestion



FAQ. suggestions
16v overheating.
#1 check coolant level.. (ensure it is normal ie. not milky)
#2 if you are using normal coolant w/ phosphous. drain and fill w/ water.
#3 buy prestone rad flush
   use as per directions
	drive around w/. it in the coolant for several days
	w/ the heat on (flushes heater core too).
#4 buy low temp fan switch.
#5 install low temp thermostat
#6 if that doesnt work
 	drain system. pull raditor.
	make a 50/50 mix of water and "purple power" brand name cleaner
	fill rad about 1/3- 1/2 full and swish the mix around in it.
	flush w/ clean water.
	repeat until purple stuff looks like it did when you poured it in.
#7 install new water pump... (PITA if you have A/C and power steering)

#8 get new car :-)/ motor
