Re: chassis stiffening: Here's a link of 1st hand experience
Someday, I'm going to take a Rabbit or a Scirocco and take everything out
of it, sandblast it, weld it, POR-15 it, prime it, paint it, clearcoat it,
and put it all back together with mostly new parts. I swear. That would be
SO satisfying. And not THAT expensive. Sigh. Time is money...

I think the gain is worth the cost, and rust prevention inside of the rockers isn't necessarily a bad thing on these cars -- the 80 parts car in my driveway sure could have used it, the rockers are turning into peanut brittle :) What do you all think?
