QUESTION!! I think I have a brake problem...can anyone help

	Last nigth I was to head out to town and the brake pushes all the way
to the metal...
	I pulled over and looked into the brake fuild box and it was bone dry,
after putting in 
	almost a full bottle of fuild in, I returned home and the brakes seem
fine... I went out
	for a movie and came back, and tested my brakes again... they seems
soft but (not petal to the metal)
	any clues...? Am I looking at a hose problem ? or master cylinder is
slowly dying on me?
