!Some small items I brought from The Fatherland...

Lister Patrick Schiller and I met for the 2nd time,
here's what I was able to bring back (small stuff):
-C-pillar badges, "GT", used condition, carefully
removed
-"Scirocco GT" hatch badge, used but good condition
-VW factory foglamp switch
-"Scirocco" steering wheel center piece for A2 style
wheels.

I have an idea of what to ask for this stuff, but I'd
rather you email me. More goodies may be possible
depending partially on how often I get over for work.

BTW...Did you know you can actually take a set of Euro
bumpers as checked luggage? Here's what to
do...remove all brackets, nestle the two together like
spoons (with bubble wrap between), wrap with paper,
cardboard, or more bubble wrap, and tape firmly
together. They fit Delta's dimension and weight
restrictions, but with the brackets I think they'd
have been bounced. US Customs will give you a funny
look, but I did not enjoy any 'cavity' searches, so
fear not.

Ron

PS: Thanks List, I've now made friends with the
entire Schiller family and have been a happy victim of
their wonderful hospitality twice now...including
getting quite drunk with Patrick's dad Siggy and uncle
Hans-Georg the first time I met them. A wonderful
gang and if it weren't for this list, we'd have never
met. TYVM. S.org is *Far* better than any local or
nat'l club I've paid to be in.
