Be careful, but grab the base of the needle with your forefinger & thumb and
use your knuckles against the gaugeface to pry with. YOU WILL HURT YOUR
FINGERS IN THIS PROCESS. Mine were sore for a coupla days.

Just when you think it's never coming off ----  *POP*!
