[Tech} 78 Rocco...CIS UPDATE

Timing seems all straightened out.  :~)  I hooked up a fresh battery and she cranked over once and idled for about 2sec. and died.  I went through this same episode for about an hour.  I installed MORE new plugs and checked the fuel dist. "mixture" settings.  (I'm sure Chris remembers this.....The fuel dist. was changed because the old one.....broke, stuck,...something...and ended up filling the entire motor up with gasoline.)  Anyway....the "new" fuel dist. setting was turned all the way counter clockwise.  Which if I am thinking correctly is Extremely lean.  So I cranked it out two turns and the car remained the same.  After six and 1/4 turns clockwise I hit the key and she started, idled, and had throttle response.  (for about a minute and a half)  Suddenly I was giving it full throttle to keep it running and it sounded like it was drowning out.  (flooding)  So I shut off the car and walked around the front......ONCE AGAIN,....fuel and oil come pouring out of the intake tube under the air filter.  Does this seem like something is wrong with the fuel pressure maybe?  I have been everywhere looking for a fuel pressure gauge and actually bought two, only to return them because they have standard fittings and not metric.  (O'well)  Any ideas?  Maybe the warm up regulator?  Seems like I remember reading these things have pressure regulators on them...not sure where it would be,....but .
Any ideas you guys?
Thanks,
Chris
