Remember me?  The VW / Karmann guy from California!

Anyway, the reason I'm writing is because I'm seriously considering selling
my 1981 Scirocco in Indiana Red Metallic, which I've owned and pampered
since 1982.  The sale would be due to lack of space to store our cars.

I thought you may be a good contact for people who may be looking for a
first generation Scirocco in almost showroom condition.  At least here in
California, you don't see other Scirocco's that look anything like as nice
as this one.  Unfortunately, I think it's worth more in Europe - where they
appreciate great little cars like this more than in the U.S.

Please let me know if you need details for somebody who may want to buy the
car, and an idea of approximate value.  It has covered 220,000 miles, most
of them freeway miles at California's max. speed of 65 mph.  Has had all
scheduled services, with oil changed religiously every 3,000 miles.  To give
you an idea of how carefully it has been driven, it still has the original
clutch!  Above all, I'm looking for a REALLY good home for it!
