Just blew out 5th gear on my 87 jetta Gli...which trannys from which cars
will fit my jetta, so i can start looking at a junkyard??

9A is what it came with and is a direct replacement.

Have you considered replacing 5th gear?

Good time to get a .75 5th gear.

You can replace those gears, with the tranny on the car.
