[Tech] Wanna flush my P/S pump?

I am yanking a P/S pump off a Jetta to use on one of my roccos.  I am
interested in possibly flushing the thing clean with something.  Is this
advisable or not?  Don't know why I want to do it, other than getting it in
the best condition possible before hooking it into the rocco's system.  If
it isn't a near-mortal sin to do this, what would you advise?  Obviously P/S
fluid would be good, but HOW would you go about doing it?
