MK1 @ auction

Good day all,
I went to an auto auction this weekend
as I often do, in search of the $100
dream I know is out there.
I was walking through the rows of cars
with my girlfriend, exchanging looks of
displeasement, when I caught a glimpse
of the unmistakable lines of a Mk1 a few
rows from where we where. I quickly
scrambled over to the car and took a
look, there was a little spot rust here
and there, but no more than what could
be hoped for on a seemingly original 79
Rocc, it appeared to be perfectly
straight, I saw no uneven gaps between
panels, and the panels where pretty dent
free themselves. As I looked into the
car I noticed the nastiness that I
imagine at one time was considered to be
automotive interior, in the middle of
the fungus infested capsule, I made out
the shape of an automatic shifter, whell
there went my hopes of making this my
next Rocc project, I am already in the
middle of an auto-to-manual conversion
on one of my camaros, and I don't care
to do another. in my dismay I also
noticed a 100mph speedo nestled in the
dash, needless to say I was wishing I
was at a strip yard instead of a auction
lot.

it coulda ben good,

Nathan M.
oh , and a happy new year.
