That's why I said they rarely go bad. Most of the time there is corrosion
in them which causes them to flow poorly/unevenly.

They're a fairly complicated piece of equipment. Without a flowmeter to
set each line, its definitely not a do-it-yourselfer job. Besides,
they're a dime a dozen at the junkyard. You can swap the fuel distributor
without disassembling it.
