When I first got my '81 Convertible it ran like complete and utter 
shit.  Swapping the fuel distributor/air flow combo made a big 
difference.  So, I have seen one that *seemed* to be bad.

Also, when the Bentley says not to disassemble a fuel distributor 
because there are no servicable parts inside?  They mean it. ;-P
