Believe the original thread started on 'what gauges where standard on 8v
models'.  Not sure, but IIRC.....

Would like to reiterate that my '85 came w/ oil temp gauge, my '87 w/ a
voltmeter.  For what it's worth, my 16v came w/ oil temp...
