I've heard that an oem Bosch filter is good to use because it has a
check-valve which prevents leak-back when you shut your engine down.  This
keeps more oil up in the oil passages when your car's off and will make your
cams/tappets/bearings last longer.  you can see the difference, there;s a
spring-loaded thingamajig in there.
