Your Convertible is considerably heavier than a stock 16V Scirocco -- more
than the extra power from the oversize pistons will yield you, so that's
not a surprise.

Dunno what your smokin but it must be good if you think that a rabbit 
convertible weighs MORE than a MKII.

FYI, They weigh about the same depending on the additions. I.E. 18" speaker 
boxes with 1000W amps.
