I did once.
What I did was since I knew the bulb was dear I took my needle nose plyers
and broke the bulb then pulled it out.  Put a yellow one in and viola!  it
worked!  This is also leaving out the fact I took the face plate out and
used nail polish remover to take off that God Awfull green!  Now I have an
Amber illumination :)
Either that or go to the wrecking yard and pay $5 for one :)
