leaking sunroof

Now that the rainy season is upon us, here in Southern California, the
leaking sunroof thing has again reared its ugly head.  Does anyone have a
cure for one inch of rainwater on the passenger-side floor?   I hate having
to tape the seam shut each December.....
  It seems that the drain tubes not only dump water onto the ground, but
into the car's interior.   And everything else on the car works SO well....
