Re: shrick cams 268's or 260 intake/276 exhaust?

My 2 cents:
you'd better ensure you can modify or delete your rev
limiter if using the bigger cams... you'll need to be
upwards of 7500-7800 rpm to really use them. Proven by
an aquaintance of mine who's running into that
problem. In my own experience, nothing beats a well
built, 2.0L 8v in the auto-X, where low and midrange
torque is king. If i wasn't launching in 2nd, I only
used 1st off the start line. Stayed in 2nd the rest of
the time, except for the one race where i snatched up
to 4800 rpm in third for a back stretch... best time
of the day that race. some hondas were still whining
around the whole course in first gear... (i hate
hondas) hehehe. the 4.25:1 ring and pinion certainly
helped in that case though.
