Properly implemented, nitrous oxide can be just as reliable as any other
power adder. There is nothing inherently shady or dangerous about it. The
bad rap that it gets comes from the old days when total control of the
engine and nitrous was simply impossible. Fuel injection, electronic
ignition control, and nitrous brains have made running juice a practical,
safe, and intelligent option.

Do your research and go for it!
