porting head? how beneficial?

Just how beneficial is porting the head? since i'm on the turbo route, i'm
just wondering if i'm going to be wasting 400+ bucks to port it. Is the
gains with 400 bucks? would i have to port the intake manifold as well to
make use of the ported head? what do you guys think?

oh yeah.. any of you guys know where i can get some Audi 5k turbo (forged)
pistons?
