TECH [PS tie rod boot replacement]

I don't like working with tie rods.

None of my Sciroccos ever had a ripped tie rod boot
(so I've never done this before)

However, Wolfie, my '85 Scirocco has a torn passenger
side tie rod boot. Looking at my Bentley, this appears
to be straightforward:

remove the tie rod end.
undo the clamps on the old booty
slide the old boot off.
lube the inner connection?????
slide the new boot on.
tighten clamps
re-install tie rod

Am I getting this right?
