the toilet bowl manifolds are junk compared to the
dual outlet manifold.

techtonics can provide you with dyno test that prove
it.

I ran this on my old 1980 Scirocco S rust bucket and
currently Kristen's '78 has a JH with the stock dual
outlet manifold and TT downpipe into a TT exhaust.

get a "dualie" 

if you get a used one, check for hairline cracks -
these can leak and cause all kinds of headaches
(literally)
