On a slightly related note, does anyone know of somewhere in the UK I can
buy a Bentley for my Scirocco or does anyone have one second hand that they
could send to me (I'm happy to pay a reasonable price and postage costs).
Buying a new one from the States is just too expensive.

I had to replace my speedo cable last night. My Haynes manual says take off
the steering wheel and remove the instrument cluster to unhook speedo. Well
I took off the wheel then spent the next hour and a half trying to remove
the cluster. In the end I just yanked the f***er out and ended up snapping
the old speedo cable off. Installing the new one I realised I was going to
have to remove the facia under the steering column, when that was done I
realised how easier it would have been if I'd done that in the first place.
There was no need to remove the wheel or cluster.... Grrrrr
