There isn't much latitude in the A1 chassis regarding camber and the
Sciroccos are no exception.  On average one can get about -1 degree
but your -.5 isn't surprising.  

Aside from camber plates, your best bet is to purchase "crash
correction" bolts.  These thinner shank bolts replace your OE camber
bolts thus allowing more camber adjustment.
