Re: Tech: Engine Hesitation



Ok, you need to take a note from brother TBerk, like I did after years of being on this list :) My 86 16v Car would act weird, and whenever the radiator fan would come on, it affected the car's running.... I thought this was normal, but hey it's not(duh..) What did I do to solve it? I took off *EVERY* electrical contact and ground wire I could find. I went over each one with 60 grit sandpaper to sand off the layers of whatever that had engrained themselves into the surface of the metal. What is the result now? My radiator fan comes on, and my car runs fun. A lot of my funk CIS-E and idle problems have dissappeared too. Do this to every contact you can find under the hood, I still have a few more to go, and i'm contemplating how I will do this to the potentiometer & DPR. Along with all the other 2-3 wire connectors.
