Dave, I am doing this install on a Cabriolet and have found out *most* of
the hiccups....would be glad to discuss this with you off list...

Additionally, for the wiring, I stumbled across an old list members
webpage last night, and he has the wiring up there for the conversion.  Go
to scirocco.org, then links, and look for the web page of Nigel Heron in
the links...you should find that helpful for the wiring.

Now let me pick apart your list here:

> 2.0L motor

Good

> Intake and exhaust manifold

Good for intake, ditch the exhaust manifold if it is from the Jetta, wont
fit right, get yourself a dual outlet manifold from an early scirocco,
techtonics still sells them new.

> Air box and airflow assy.

Ditch the air box, get a cone filter for it...that air box is too big.

> Fuel injection components

Motronic from the Jetta, yes?

> Flywheel

Good

> Computer and engine wiring harness

Again, this is the Motronic from the Jetta, yes?

> What else do I need?

Many many more small items o grasshoppa!  What about your alternator and
pullies?  Using the stuff from the Jetta?  There are many more little
things that you will need depending on your accessories, etc.  Also, a
little tid bit for ya, use the lower timing cover from the original
scirocco engine, but modify the upper timing cover from the Jetta, so that
you have room for the passenger side motor mount...works quite well and
looks stock...
