Nah... 

I've replaced the pass. side engine mount without disturbing the timing
belt...

The 16V is basically the same as the '85 and up, just a little tighter...

Considering the 16V timing belt's change interval, 50-60K, it makes
perfect sense to do the timing belt at the same time.
