Re: help me out here



Well, you're right.  My point was that someone with this problem will
*think* they have a tranny problem that would be described by saying "I put
it into gear but it won't 'catch'."  The tranny could be fine, but they
wouldn't know it, because the car doesn't move when they let out the clutch.
I get suspicious of a diagnosis from someone "who was not an enthusiast in
the least".

I wouldn't think this was a likely scenario if I hadn't seen it myself once.
