In my opinion I would start with checking for vacuum leaks including injector 
o rings.
Spray a little carb cleaner and if the idle picks up theres your culprit . 
Then move onto fuel mixture at the fuel distributor . Then probably on to 
ignition timing and electrical connections . After those major ones if you 
cant figure it out you have a gremlin in there:) .
