hey man.

i just did this last year with the 16v that i bought from
ohio. lemme tell you, it was A LOT of running around.

first off, figure the exchange.
then when you get to the border it's a $283 import
fee. if the car has a/c tack on another $100. then
taxes (gst & pst), and you have to pay a duty tax (6%)
because the car was built in germany.

you have also to do a federal inspection
and depending where you are, a provincial
inspection. i got blasted at the provincial
because that's where they check the mechincal
aspects of the car. i had to change power steering
rack, bushings, tires, shocks, etc...

make sure that it's really worth it for you to bring
it in because the price will almost double by the time
you get it over here and on the road.
