Need a mechanic in N. California

I own a 1987 Scirocco 16v which is beginning to show rear end problems. I 
live in California in the North San Francisco Bay Area. There are two VW 
repair shops in my town (Vallejo) but for various reasons, I'm fed up 
with both of them. Does anyone know of a shop in the SF Bay Area that 
specializes in VW repair and that could give me some REAL help with my 
car?

I've had the car for four years and it has 206K miles. It was well taken 
care of before I bought it and has given me no heavy problems. Is it 
unrealistic to think the car has much more life in it, or would I be 
tossing away my bucks with major repairs on a car with this many miles??? 
I fell in love with Sciroccos in 1981 and it took me sixteen years to 
finally get one, so I want to keep it if I can.
