Re: 87 16v - price opinions not needed.

I bit my tongue and I swore I would not get pulled into this thread of what
is a roc worth. However, this one is near and dear to me because I happen
to own 2 rocs that have an obscene amount of money in them (my fault, I did
it, no one made me, it was a complete brain fart).
I agree with Riley, area is a big factor...and I agree with Shannon, there
seems to be a lot of self proclaimed experts on how much these cars are
worth. Some of these cars are over 20 years old and a lot of them are 12 to
15 years old. It seems to me that "worth" or "value" are relative terms and
what one person may view as too much may very well be just right for someone
else. More power to the guy that asks 5 or 6K for a car and is able to get
it.........even if the blue book says it is valued at 2K........or in the
case of many of our cars, they haven't been in the book for a long time.
How much would you ask for your Scirocco? Now I will get off my soap box
and go back into lurk mode..Thanks

82 2.1 16v roc
86 2.0 16v roc........neither of these cars are worth what I would ask for
them
85 1.8 GTI bone stock and priceless
