Justin, 

   Do a search on Scirocco.org for Cold start problems.  I suspect that
if its not your cold start, then it could possibly be your thermo time
switch or associated wiring.  I have a long writeup on how to test the
functionality of the cold start and thermo time switch on Scirocco.org.
If you can't find it, lemme know....
