Re: (non-roc) Hyundai Type R???
i have no idea what you guys are talking about, but i think that i'll
throw my 2cents in here
a friend of mine has a 92 scoupe turbo. those things are seriously fast
cars. he was pulling a 15.00 1/4 mile with chopped springs and a homemade
muffler.
we used to race at least 10 times a week when i had my 1.8 16V rocco,
and it was always back and forth between us. either one of us would win by
a tiny margin. then i put a 2.0 in, and he had some turbo work done, and we
were still tied. then i dropped the 16V into my mk1 jetta, and we ran, and
i would beat him (not by much), but it was because he dusted his 2nd gear,
and couldn't powershift into it.
now he's got a bit more work done to it (new chip, massive intercooler,
18lbs of boost?)and he's running high 13s with the same busted tranny. i
haven't seen the guy for awhile, so i don't know what's going on right now,
but i can tell you that the car is FAST!
