Re: Oops...a racers bad day

On another list I frequent, the owner posted a summary of his experience in
this event. It was a Subaru, but a RS 2.5 GT, not an Imprezza. He was
excited about reeling in a Porsche and overcooked his entrance to Turn 3, at
Summit Point, IIRC. His cardinal mistake was that of trying to drive out of
a spin. As my most memorable driving instructor has all his students chant,
"In a spin? Both feet in!" meaning you ain't Michael Schumacher, just
minimize the damage by standing on the clutch and brake until the world
stands still again. Otherwise you set yourself up to fail spectacularly (and
expensively) like this fellow. I wonder if his insurance has a no-racing
clause. Bad time to have to ask.

Cheers,

Well its not an Impreza . . wrong dash and strearing wheel for a a subaru.
Almost looks like an late 90's Porsche? Dash and stearing wheel shape.
Not to sure though, cause the headliner looks like that cheap stuff
toyota/lexus uses. So I will call up limerock tomorrow and find out what
event was going on that day and maybe they can clear up who was driving and
what he was driving.

Funny thing was he was making fun af a ameture as he called it about a turn
before he rolled. I guess you whould have had a full cage in that day.
